iPhone 8 Plus Won't Turn on After Replacing Screen and Battery

Hey guys, recently I just replaced my iPhone screen and battery simultaneously. I put all together and it works great. However, I woke up the next morning to the phone completely dead. I thought it’d be a simple fix but my phone won’t reset, turn on, or anything. I’ve tried everything to figure out what the problem could be I disconnected the battery and put in the charger but the screen won’t turn on either so I took out the screen and installed my old broken screen with the charger and still nothing worked. I examined the connectors and everything on the phone but everything looked fine. I could really use some help here because I’m just in high school and can’t afford a new phone.

Did you try putting in the original battery? Did you try hooking it up to a computer and seeing if iTunes will recognize the phone?

Did you try a different charger? Have you used an aftermarket charging cable before?

I did try putting in the original battery and screen and arose with the same issue. I hooked it up to the computer and it refused to even recognize the phone. I tried an aftermarket cable then tried an original cable

If Phone worked fine, then most likely battery and LCD is fine. Battery most likely had a charge in it and couldn’t charge back up due to pry damage to the Moffset(s) in the picture. If you are handy with a multimeter or have magnification… look around the circled area for missing/lifted or damaged components needed to charge your battery. Or use a Multimeter in “Diode Mode” to take the readings of the battery connector and see if they are correct or show “OL” (Open Line).

I do not have those tools handy, I'm only in high school. I'm attempting to see if my AT&T has insurance on my phone to replace everything for me

It sounds like a possibility that the tristar ic was damaged and it will stop charging and data transfer on the phone.

Update (06/19/2020)

Take it to a repair shop and have them test the tristar ic. It only takes a few seconds and most places will do it for free.
