I have an ipod touch 5th generation 64 gb that i recently replaced the battery on however i tore the home button cable on it and am not sure how to go about replacing it
surely I dont need to replace the whole logic board… Right?

Here is a guide on how to replace the button ribbon cable. It doesn’t look like you would need to replace the whole logic board, but the repair still involves quite a few steps: iPod Touch 5th Generation Button Ribbon Cable Replacement
