CE-36329-3 error while playing all cd games except fifa 16

UPDATES-

  1. i installed brawlhalla and island saver from PS STORE.and played them for about half an hour both.BNo error or glitch were encountered at this time.
  2. However the moment i popped uc4 cd in and started it froze and gave error instantly when i enterted the level.and during fifa 16 session (cd ), it ran fine , i played for around 20 mins.
  3. Is it possible for the laser to run one game and not the other?
  4. downloaded life is strange episode 1, played around an hour without any err0r
  5. going to purchase a new god of war disc and gonna test it on my machine, maybe either my disc drive is dmaged or maybe the uc4 disc is damaged.Bwill report back within a week or two.
  6. i opened my disc drive to see if something was wrong and found some yellow substance (maybe lubricant?) in the spring of motor . so i thought maybe i should dismantle the drive and clean it.
  7. Now i think i m doing some mistake in re assembling it, as my ps4 cant seem to take in a disc anymore. there a roller and a rubber band that i cant seem where to place. i m attaching the pictures below.BIF theres a guide or some video regarding this, can u please point me towards it.
  8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rX1lsKjl... found this video regarding assembly by tronicsfix. fixed the disc inserting issue, now the console is not reading the disc, the icon that appeares while the system recognizes the disc stays for a very long time and the console is unable to recognize it.
  9. Looks like i made it even worse.
  10. so it was the contacts on flex that broke off, fixed them and back to original state.
  11. looks like the laser is damaged and replacement will be needed.

MAIN-

so i bought a used ps4 sometime ago, it came with a free fifa 16 disc . i played on it for sometime and all was good.

Then after a couple of months later i bought horizon zero dawn and uncharted 4 in physical disk.

whenever i try to play the game, within 10-20 seconds of me being ingame i get a black scrren and get the ce 36329-3 error

note- this error doesnt happen on fifa 16 but on both uncharted 4 and hozizon dawn

i have tried the possible fix given in ps4 support like rebuilding , formatting and updating.

i have also replaced the hdd albeit instead of buying a new one i tried using my 1 yr old laptop”s internal hdd.

however the problem remains.

Now i think there are 2 possibilities

1) Apu failure -

however fifa 16 runs fine even for 2 hours long sessions .

which leads to the other possibilty

2) Disc drive failure-

Then again of all the three games on disc, Fifa 16 runs fine

i am fed up of this bs, and cant think of anything to do other than to visit a ps support centre which i cant currently due to the lockdown.

When I read your post, my first thought is: "laser". I think the laser is doomed. Did you tried downloaded games? Do they work? If yes, APU should be good to go. Same for your harddrive.

i dont have good internet acess, so the best i can do is download a very small game from psn( around 4-5 gb). i will report back to you when i do so.

can the laser be faulty and still play one game (fia 16 in my case) and give error while playing others.

Note- the mentioned fifa disc came free with the ps4 i guess, i dont think that should matter though.

and if the apu is faulty , does that mean it can run light to moderate games and not intensive games like uc4 or hzerodawn.

The bluray of uc4 is in working condition, since i tested in my friends ps4.

Lastly are there any videos/guides for bluray disc drive i can check out for refrence.

That PS4 error leads to data corruption on the hard drive. Have you tried re-installing the games?

Also make sure date and time is correct and if you have a SATA to USB HDD adapter you can connect the console hdd to the computer to check it's hard drive health with a program such as hard disk sentinel.

If the laptop hdd or the old hdd have any weak or bad sectors or any errors reported it will cause problems with the PS4.

I never replace a HDD in a PS4 without a known good one checked for any bad or weak sectors as it just causes more problems if it is showing signs of failure.

@benjamen50 already formatted and everything, the hdd is new (6 months laptop use)

have confirmed it not to be a hdd problem.

Well yes. Could still be the laser. For some games it needs to read more data. Some games will work, some games will not. And as Ben said, you need to be sure that there are no weak/bad sectors present. Not sure if you could try with an SSD? The downloaded games works flawless, right?

This error code points to software issues, perhaps it’s not on the hard drive, but the board firmware storage, some configuration data may be corrupted that didn’t cause the whole console to fail, but prevents game launch.

The troubleshooting somehow missed that part.

Hmm, it's deep, but it's something which can cause it. If this is the case, a repair would be expensive. Most of the time the installation fails too. But it's possible. Testing with a new laser would be cheaper and faster, just to check if this is it.

I've had a game fail to install due to the disc either being too scratched or the laser being on it's way out.

my game installs correctly , it even loads correctly, sometime it even plays for 10-30 seconds, after that it freezes and black screen comes and reloads the home menu with the ce error.

right now, i think as koppie007 mentioned there maybe some issue with the disc drive specifically laser, will check after a new god of war gets delivered to me and report back.

@tomchai if thats the case then i m definitely &&^&@@ and the only game i can play is fifa for the rest of my ps4's life.

Yes, try the laser first and hopefully it will be fixed!! Otherwise, you need to check the IC or replace the motherboard.. If this is the case.
