MacBook Pro A1398 No backlight

hello, so the macbok does not have a backlight, it works fine via HDMI.

i have checked the board and found a blown fuse, replaced it and its still the same,

i have checked the LVDS cable and i can see that pin 1 and 2 on the retina screen connector are damaged..

can this cause the backlight not to work??

Clearly you’ve got a messed up T-CON board within the display assembly!

Here’s a snippet of your display connector. FYI: Its miss-marked as LVDS the connection is technically iDP

It might be a bad connector or the T-CON board its self. Its very easy to damage the panel and the T-CON board. Best to just replace the full display assembly.
