Am I doing this correctly?

Before I break my phone even further, I want to confirm with ya’ll that I’m taking my Pixel 2 apart correctly. I used the suction to pull off my screen, and that is it. However, what I see doesn’t look like what is in the guide’s photos. Can you please confirm or deny if I screwed up so far? What is my next step?
