No touch on the phone im trying to fix no grey bars at the top

I have tested all the pins on the fpc connector and tested the meson voltages currently im looking at the cumulous ic but i havent done this before. Is there any suggestions to where the fault may be?

looks like some sort of red gunk under the meson chip was to blame
