been doing this since last month, i try turning it on but everytime the xbox light lights up makes the starting sound, then after about a milisecond i hear a faint *click* and it shuts off right after, please help?

There are several things that may be causing this. It sounds like it may be a problem with something shorting or with the power supply. It is most likely the power supply. It sounds like it would be the PSU.
@nytryder26 That is what I thought, too.
I have this same problem, baught and replaced the PSU, and it is still beeping/clicking, could it be the motherboard?
