Can you swap hard drives with another super slim?

My ps3 super slim during an update got the error code 8002F1F9. Replace the NOR chip but still doesn't update completely and just cycles through the update over and over. So figured I'll buy another one used, now my question, can I just swap my hard drive from the one that doesn't update to my new super slim?
