apple watch series 3, has anyone replace the nfc antenna pad

my nfc was pulled off by a repair shop, i stuck it back with a z tape as shown in ifixit nfc swap but my nfc still doesnt work , should i replace the part ( maybe the antenna part is bad too). has anyone done the nfc pad replacement

The NFC chip is not available as a spare, nor is the antenna at this point you’ll need to replace the full SIP unit unless you can find another watch for parts.

Even still the NFC chip is tied to your SIP unit so you can’t replace it.

Nfc antenna pad is listed on the ifixit site for $9.99.So if the part is available there must be a way to install it

You are correct the pad part Apple Watch (38 mm Series 3 GPS) NFC Antenna or

Apple Watch (42 mm Series 3 GPS) NFC Antenna for the GPS model is, The Cellular models are different.

To compound this the antennas connection is within the body assembly, near the edge of the case often I find its damaged from opening the watch. You can see it clearly in the middle image of Step 6 here Apple Watch Series 3 Teardown

Replacing the part in its self may not address the issue and if you have the cellular model there is a different part which is not available.
