Apple Logo flashes briefly when button is pressed

I have an Apple Watch 1st Gen. The issue is that it ran flat so I placed it on the charger and now it doesn’t start up. When I press and hold the crown and side button to do a hard reset I get a brief flash of the Apple logo then nothing. Any help appreciated
