Blue or Blank screen when I power up, plays some sounds occasionally.

I have a SNES that i brought out of storage. When I powered it on for the first time, I get a blue screen with Super Mario World, and it plays the first coin sound that it should.

I have tried cleaning all the ports, including cartridge. The system was put into storage fully functional and stored inside a bin with lid. Is there any areas I should be checking on the main board?
