ann bourliea what engine is it and right now it has a mechanical fuel pump? The tank you replaced is from what year? There should not be a pump in the tank but we need to know more. Yes, you an convert to an electric pump just mounted externally somewhere on the back of the frame and place a filter before the pump. You can even leave the old mechanical pump on the block. We do need more details so as to find out what issues you foresee.
