Battery door does not close
When power on a message Hullo comes up and then “battery door open” comes up and it shuts down, even if one holds the SIM card in place at the same time; it would seem part of the door closure is broken and fails to make a circuit to stop the message coming up and the machine turning itself off

Bit confused by your question - what SIM card?
Please confirm the make and model number of the device you're having problems with.
The device you selected is a personal voice recorder and according to the user manual there is no option to insert a SIM card or even an SD card
