5v 0.2A on charger any ideas where to start?:)

I have a very minor case of water damage on a MacBook Pro A1989 it also has no burned components but has capacitors and resistors missing from previous repair attempts does by a different shop any ideas/advice on this MacBook as I’ve never worked on a device the new before only the oldish mbps and airs

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi

I kind of found the problem

There are components missing on the board

But the video that you recommended pointed me towards the CD3215 chips but I didn’t really know how to test them

do you need brd and schematics ?

I think I have them but I don’t have a reader that can read them so I have no way no f confirming that

First try to reflow the solder on the port.

Thanks for the answer it really helps but the ports on this MacBook are the ones that are on a flex cable:)
