Updating Android OS on Galaxy Note Pro

Can you update the android OS on my Samsung galaxy note pro sm-p900. it is at v5 and i need to upgrade it past v6 so I can load Norton 360 on it. The tablet is from2014 and won't update past v5, using normal updating procedures.
