Xbox 360 HD-DVD player progressivly slows until stopping entirely

Hi,
So I have a used Xbox 360 HD-DVD player that I've been trying to use to watch HD-DVDs on but I've run into an issue where the playback for the movies slows down over time until it stops entirely. I've tested this with multiple HD-DVDs and it occurs with each of them. I've been looking for a teardown video to try and get into the player and do a routine cleaning (I've worked on a few disc drives before) but none of the videos I could find show or explain how to properly open the outer case. It appears to be similar to the original 360 design, but lacks the holes to get at the clips holding the initial piece to remove.

Any help would be appreciated with this and I hope everyone's day is going well.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I'm looking for the HD-DVD player for the console, not the console itself.

Ok. I was hoping to see how to get the side panel off but from the video it sounds like it's just pry and pray nothing breaks.
