Phone overheating after battery change

Hi

If it’s heating up I would try a and reseat all the connectors you disconnected and clean them with isopropyl alcohol while you are there

As for finding the fault so would get a microfibre cloth and dip it in isopropyl alcohol not so it’s dripping by enough

Then wipe the device and see where the alcohol evaporated first as that will point you to where it’s heating up and you can address it accordingly

I’ve just had the same issue. Replaced iPhone 8 battery with ifixit replacement battery today. No problem swapping out batteries but as soon as I plugged it in to charge it overheated and didn’t show charging bar. I disconnected, reopened case and checked all connectors. Reconnected and sealed casing and reconnected charging but now nothing. Any ideas?

Well I will suggest you to try a different charger to charge your phone and also check for any kind of malware in your phone.
