error continues to state " incorrect printhead is installed please install correct printhead"

Try resetting the appropriate settings per Canons Website. Canon Reset Switches

Did you even bother to read the question? Printhead error prevents any access to printer function.
you can open printer maintenance, and choose clean print head of canon mx922 driver
and try to print again, it will show the right thing of work
