Controller might be completely dead?

I bought a broken controller off ebay to try and fix problem is it seems completely dead, it won't charge or connect to the console

I've tried resetting changing the battery ribbon cable and charging port to no avail . From time to time when I try turning it on it'll do the flash as though it's turning on but that's it, I have no clue what to do with it
