Hi Kuba,

Top of the list is to make sure your phone is getting power. You've tried different chargers and power cords, right? Wiggled the plug when it's inserted? Checked the charging port for dust, dirt or debris and cleaned it with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol? Examined it with a magnifying glass and a bright light looking for bent or missing pins?

So what was happening with the phone before it died? Has anything changed? Updates installed, phone dropped, got wet, run over by a snow plow, etc.? Has it been charging correctly up till now? Battery life normal?

Give us more detail on the history of the phone, because right now we don't have enough information to be able to help you.

At some point you're most likely going to have to open the phone, so you might want to order some tools and display adhesive so you're ready when the time comes.

About the history of the phone, i was my old daily driver, that i recently found in the attic. I don't remember if the battery was fine then, but i remember that it has the latest supported iOS version.

@qulek34, Ah, that helps. Well, after sitting for so long and probably getting hot if your attic is anything like mine, I'd say there's a very high probability the battery is totally shot.

The good news is that for old iPhones like yours, parts prices have dropped exponentially so you should be able to pick up a replacement battery for a song. That's what my next step would be if it was my phone.

And yes, I still have my wife's old 5C around too. Had to replace the screen after I got it back from my brother borrowing it, but it still works just fine. Well, outside of the fact that Verizon won't let me activate it on their network any more, that is.
