Is it possible to replace the display?

The title says it all. Is it possible to repair the display?

Yes, but it will require either letting Apple fix it or you can do it yourself but! Apple now serializes the display to your logic board so you must use their part as you need access to their calibration tool which will only work with the display they shipped and is a one time access as part of the Apple Self Repair program. Sadly, the newer MacBook M2 systems are not offered yet and this program is only in the states.

Thank you for your answer. It looks like I can't repair it myself since I don't know the calibration tool and as you said it's not in the Apple Self-Repair Program.

@Anon User - Sorry Apple is a bit slow on its service options both for the newer M2 systems as well as other countries. If you are set, don’t forget to accept the answer - Thanks!

A replacement display would work just fine. But if you ever take the repaired machine to apple, they would say they cannot “authenticate” the display; so, depending on the genius, they may allow other repairs at their discretion. Important to note that each display may have different color settings because of their batch but that has nothing to do with serialization.
