Don’t hurt the chickens, Cleaning the trackpad and surrounding area isn’t always enough with liquid damage, and when it’s a sugary beverage it’s even worse.
What I suggest is that you disassemble the device and take out the logic board and all connectors. Once you have the boards and components out, use IPA (preferably 99%) and immerse the board and clean everything very, very well!
Take extra care to check the board side of the trackpad and use a magnifying glass with high magnification to inspect the components and connectors.
When you’ve cleaned everything and verified it’s as good as you can get it, leave it to dry for ~30 mins (IPA evaporates quickly). Put everything back together and check the functionality again. If haptic feedback still doesn’t work, it might very well need replacement, BUT! as Apple tends to do, the trackpad is likely serialized to the logic board. NOTE! I’ve never replaced that part on a 2020 Air, just assuming from experience in that matter.
