Why my phone is not charging although it is showing the charging sign

Try using another charging cable and see if you can get something on your phone telling you info about the phone that is charging while it is plugged in my shows on my roll down menu where the notifications are but yours would be in settings and press battery to get any info about the phone and why it won't charge like checking your cable

I just get a new one when that happens and fixes it
