Epson EcoTank L3150 Wi-Fi All-in-One Ink Tank Printer

Black Ink Not Printing on Epson L3150 Printer After Refilling Cartridg

I have an Epson L3150 printer that stopped printing black ink after the cartridge ran out. I refilled the cartridge manually, but the printer still doesn't print in black. I have tried cleaning the print head several times, but it didn't solve the problem. The printer prints in other colors normally. Could you please help me troubleshoot and fix this issue?

To resolve this, I would recommend performing a Power Cleaning. Power cleaning is an advanced cleaning process that forces more ink through the printhead nozzles, helping to clear any blockages that could be affecting your print quality.

Steps to Perform Power Cleaning on Your Epson Printer:

  1. Turn on your printer and make sure it is connected to your computer.
  2. Open the printer settings on your computer or the printer's control panel.
  3. Go to Maintenance (or Printer Utility depending on your model).
  4. Select Power Cleaning from the available options.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process.

Try to do deep cleaning, this happen because your ink could not reach the head yet.

After deep cleaning it will reach the head and you can use your printer again, otherwise be careful when injecting the ink tank manually. Something terrible could happened.

Downvoting this answer as this is merely a surefire way to kill your printer early. This shouldn't be in the user-accessible service modes.

My epson L3150 couldn't print in black and white whereas there were no issues in color. I did head cleaning, nozzle cleaning, deep cleaning but nothing helped. Then i opened the tray and found out that the black ink couldn't reach the head. So i took an injection syringe and pulled all the residue ink from the pipe. Then connected the pipe as it was before. Now its working absolutely fine. But, I would advice that only those people with basic technical knowledge should try opening the printer.
