I am subscribed to the Kim Komando newsletter. A recent issue (18 Sep 2023) included this paragraph: No time left for you: If you rock a $350 Pixel Watch, cross your fingers it doesn’t break. Google still doesn’t have a repair plan for it, despite its launching 11 months ago. Yep, if your screen cracks, your watch won’t be covered by a warranty — you’ll need to buy a new watch.

Almost sounds like the Pixel Watch is destined to be yet another item in the Google Graveyard

Unfortunately, that's all there is in the article: no sources, no links, no references for additional information... kinda left me hanging.

If you want to look at her newsletter, you can check through this link: https://www.komando.com/friends/?referra... - or just go through the site directly. (The link gives me credit if you sign up for the newsletter. I receive no compensation other than what's listed directly in the newsletter.)

For what it's worth, I used to have a Pixel 6 Pro phone. I bought it when they were promising to put FaceID on it. Over time, however, they got progressively mum about it, until I finally researched it and found that they completely abandoned FaceID for the entire Pixel 6 line... so basically Google lied to me. That, and an extremely buggy interface on the phone for the first several months I had it... well, suffice it to say I'll never buy another Pixel product again: phone, watch, buds, or anything else bearing that brand name. (I have a couple Chromecast devices, and they actually work as advertised, though I prefer my Roku devices. But the Nest line of products: I have two, and don't plan on buying any more of them either. Problem is, I also won't buy Alexa, Bing or Siri powered devices, which really limits my "smart home" options.) ... Um, sorry guys. I'm just ranting and rambling now. You could have stopped at the first paragraph... but then again, so could I.
