back camera not working!

So umm i got my protective screen removed and today it worked fine! Like i went to musical school and there i took some photos with the back camera and then i texted my mom and some water got on it! I cleaned it and ye so um. MY BACK CAMERA IS BLACK AND FLASHLIGHT NOT WORKING this is a bad thing for me cuz i use it very much and idk if i should put in the sun cuz its water damaged? Lmk RN my mom will k!ll me if i dont fix it cuz i have bad luck with phones.

If the water got in that corner of the phone, it's definitely possible the camera was affected. :(

It's super typical for the flashlight to malfunction as well when the camera does not work. The enable signal for the flash comes from the camera, so I would expect as much.

You can certainly try leaving it to dry, it may only ever affect the function of the camera. It may even be unrelated. But my experience says, the camera is probably done for. In any case, it should be opened up, disconnected from the battery and cleaned up to attempt to revive the camera and make sure there isn't any further damage.

Ohh okay thank youu! I js dont know its possible to get there cuz i have an extra protective sillicone case ima see letting it dry :( ive had the problem on my iphone 6 like that but like it resolved after few hours ty!

Omgg i think theres hope!!! So i wanted to check on all like camera apps and on insta it suprinsegly worked but!! The photo was kinda blurry i mean you didnt understood the text and was like zoomed in and then i tried to use the photo w flashlight and it worked but it didnt sync with making the photo. We will go saturday to get a new new screen protector and i think its the water damage cuz it was blurry and i hope its that can be fixed w simple cotton pad or that screw from other answers from the same question.
