80stechkid it is most likely because deleted photos continue to take up storage until you delete them. Check on here ands ee if that helps you. If not read through this one iTunes should be able to help you with that as well.

You can also try this

"To correct this and free up some space, you may RESTORE the phone to its original settings by connecting it to your computer via iTunes. Before doing this however, you will need to back up your iPhone data because the Restore process will delete all the existing media and other data.

To back up the existing iphone data to a computer:

1. Connect your mobile to your computer and open iTunes.

2. On the sidebar menu under Devices you will see your device connection. Right click on it to and choose Back up.

3. Wait for the back up process to complete.

As an additional measure, you could also back up your iphone data to iCloud for free up to a maximum storage of 5GB :

1. Upon making sure that you have a wi-fi connectiion, plug in your iphone to a power source.

2. On your iPhone, click on the Settings icon, then select the iCloud button.

3. Go to Storage and Backup and make sure that the iCloud Backup button is switched on.

4. Select Back Up Now to start the back up. Note that for the iCloud backup to work, you need to have an iCloud account set up and configured on your iphone.

After you have backed up your iPhone data, you may now proceed to restoring your iPhone to its default setting:

1. In iTunes, locate and click on your iphone under the Device section in the iTunes sidebar menu.

2. Click on the RESTORE button found on the Summary panel.

3. Click on the Restore button again to confirm that you would like to restore the iphone to its original factory settings.

4. Your iphone will restart after it is restored to its original factory settings. Upon restart, you will then see the Slide to Setup Screen. From there you can follow the steps in setting up your device and you can opt to set it up as a new device or using a previous back up.

Quick Question - If I reset it, will I be able to get back into the phone? 3G shut down in January, and I am afraid that it will get stuck on the carrier activation. I don't know much about this, so will I be able to get back into the phone with a SIM but no service?

@80stechkid interesting Question that I do not have the answer to. Let's see if @beanman56 can help with that.

@oldturkey03 - Thanks for tagging me in!

I don’t think you can use 3G anymore so there would be no point to try to get it activated.

I do feel your pain though!

tarafından

@beanman56 Yes but will it let me into the phone from the setup screen?

tarafından

@80stechkid - Yes.

You don’t need the phone service to do that.

I have had iPhones do this before. It seems to take them some time to update the storage usage. I would try restarting the phone, that should fix it.
