Screen fell off due to failed adhesive.

Woke up to find that the screen was flopping about connected only by its ribbon cable. I see there's no official repair for the first generation model, and that the screen replacement for the second does not have its adhesive available separately from the full screen repair kit. Any recommendations for path forward?
