MacBook Air comes on and shuts down

Hi I have a problem with my early 2014 Macbook Air.

Using it on battery it comes on, and (intermittently) immediately shuts down, or at least the screen goes dark. Then when I connect the power cord, and press the power button, it comes back. (It just comes back on, it doesn't boot up fromstart again). The thing is if I then take the charger out it will stay on, normally for the rest of that session. The battery indicator shows the correct charge. My local repairer has replaced the logic board, power board and battery. If anybody has any ideas I would be grateful. Thank you

They replaced the logic board, the power in board and the battery to try and resolve this issue? Or this issue occurred after the repair?

If they've replaced the logic board, the IO board, and the battery, and the display is still going black at times, then the issue may be due to a failing display assembly. You could test this theory by trying to use an external monitor when the display goes black. Good luck!

More likely a bad LVDS cable.

This is a LED based backlight nothing within the lid other that the connection between the LED strings to the power source located in the logic board.

But the plugging in the charger aims me to a bad battery or something within the power system. I’m not sure the shop really replaced parts here or in the process mixed things up.

I would install this gem of an App so you can see the systems power systems CoconutBattery post a snapshot of the apps main window so we can see.

Thank you for your answers so far, I appreciate them. To clarify, Alisha C, the boards and battery were replaced as an attempt to resolve the problem.

I will try an external monitor and the Coconut battery app suggestions . If I go back to the shop I can suggest that cable. The battery was a replacement used part though I found out. But as I said this occurred before the repair. But I have used the repair shop for some years

Hi I have tried some of these suggestions. I cannot try an external monitor as there is no HDMI socket. I have tried to upload a copy of the Coconut battery report but it is not coming out readable. Must be my phone's camera
