No display no,indication light

Hi,

I have sony w800d tv and i recently replaced it's tcon board because I was having 5 times red light blinking issue. But after 3 days my tv started to blink again but when i turn off the tv then it's not turning on not even the indication light. But when i disconnect the tcon board from main board the tv turn on and when ie my old tcon board, it is also turning on but red light blinking as usual but when I connect new tcon board it is not turning on. Then removed the tcon board and turned on the tv then connect the tcon board after turning on the tv the display turns on and everything is working fine but when i turn off the tv it's not turning on. Help me guys.

And my multimeter it's a basic one.

I don't know but when I use my old ( not working) tcon board the tv is turning on blinking 5 times (red) but when i switch to new tcon it is not even turning on the indication light and not even the optical cable input ( a small red light used to be there). But when i turn on tv ( after removing tcon lvdt cable ) and plugging in t back after it the tv shows the display.

@sreeramsnair could be an issue with the power board or the power to the panel. You will need to check the power connector to the mainboard and see if the voltages are all as listed on the board. We would need to see your boards. Post some good clear well focused images of your boards with your Question.

Also, Sony requires a firmware update with some of their boards. If you can go into your settings and see if you can determine which firmware/software version your TV is.

@sreeramsnair I just noticed the number on your replacement T-con board. In order to use it, you will have to block off the last 14 pins on the connector. Take a piece of tape and apply that over the last 14 pins of the cable. That way it can't make contact and should work as it is supposed to. If the 5 Blink error on your TV is the T-con board.

Do not apply the old metal shielding over the T-con board. It will not fit and it will shorten out your board. You need to find an alternative way of mounting it. I use Velcro on some of my fixes. Check this guide Evrensel Arka Aydınlatma İnvertörü step 14 to see what I mean.

@sreeramsnair both T-con boards identical? Same numbers and same version? Do you have a multimeter?

No , I have given my tv for repair and they replaced the tcon board with same model number but it only work for one day and next day it was showing same problem ( 5 times red light blinking) then i ordered different tcon board T430HVN01.6 CTrtl BD it don't have 3d support but other things all fine but like one week later red light start to blink i turned off the tv then boom nothing turning on and i now here😂
