I have this problem too. The laptop was working on a flight and then just blacked out. When I plug it in the orange light comes on as if it's charging. and the blue light is on. There is no sound coming from the unit but the keyboard backlight works. I tried the paperclip reset of the battery and also plugging it into a monitor all with no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The first step is determining if this problem is with your screen or if it is with the other hardware inside your computer, such as the graphics card.

Have you tried yet using an external monitor plugged into one of the available ports, and seeing if the external screen generates a stable picture or if it has the same problem as the main display? If so, what were the results. If not, please try that and report back.

Does not show up on an external screen either. So I’m guessing it’s the graphics card.

@nickwilde52893 That would be a good bet. I apologize as you're providing little information. Based on how you phrased your question I am assuming the computer is staying on? Like the power on and fans are spinning and keyboard backlight is on but no screen? You can still get proper reactions such as a Windows boot up sound, type in your password and get the sign in sound so you know you're into your OS even if you can't see anything?

If that is all true, it does sound like a GPU problem and unfortunately that GPU is integrated in the processor, so it sounds like the motherboard is likely dead.

You should still be able to recover your data as the drive is removable and won't be faulty in such a case.
