LCD screen has lines through it?

I changed the rear panel on my iPod touch second generation and everything works fine except for the lcd screen it has some lines of light that go through it that make it look like a film negative. What could it be?

Looks like a dead screen, check the display connector/cable, you might have messed it up while replacing the panel.
