iOS won’t update after battery swap

Hi, I’ve done internet and apple forums searching already and tried everything recommended without success. My iPhone 11 refuses to update iOS after battery swap. I’ve been on beta versions for the last few years and always on this particular device. It will consistently fail during verifying update. My macOS is 10.11 and is up to date there so I haven’t been able to use that method either. Only thing I haven’t done is a restore bc I don’t want to lose data going from iOS 17 beta to iOS 16.6 or whatever it is. Has anyone else run into this and/or is there a legit fix?

I have a similar problem, but I never had any 'beta' profile or OS version on that iPhone11. The problem, so I am certain, relates to the battery change.

My new battery isn't Apple Original, and there are constant warning messages about it "not being Apple Original". I think these checks - Intentionally break the OS update verification process.

I'm still trying to break Apple's siege (over a month of struggle now) but if I can't - I'll go to Apple lab. to install a genuine Apple battery - and that would be my LAST IPHONE.

I'm a Mac/iOS software engineer, and Apple/Mac enthusiast, supporter, teacher and power-user since 1987.

I think here Apple finally broke the deal with me.

Restore won't work either. Tried it in my iPhone 11. Backup and Restore now require that both backup and iPhone are using the same OS, and that it should be up-to-date. From that moment you have either OS (on the backup or the iPhone) older - you're stuck, because you can't update the OS any longer.
