One of the bigger issues about finding replacement parts for this phone is that it’s still somewhat new, which means that spare parts are going to be hard to find.
At the moment I would maybe try seeing if your phone is still covered under Google’s warranty, and try to get it repaired through them. Otherwise, try holding out and see if iFixit can supply the parts in the future, or try to find the part from a scrapped phone.

Thought I'd give this answer an update. iFixit not only has the genuine parts for the outer screen, but they have a guide for replacing the outer screen too.
