kernel_task using almost all cpu, fans at full blast.

hey there guys! my macbook recently has started running super slow. after lots of digging, ive realized that kernel_task is using nearly all the CPU power available, making the computer super slow. Ive done a fresh reinstall, updated to the latest firmware, and when I ran the hardware test, i got PFM006, NDC001, PPN001 codes. Ive installed a fan controller after a fresh restart and that got the fans to only go when the cpu rises above normal temps, i also see that all the temps are 30c (normal). no heat when charging, no heat never. my friend did spill water on it so it might be the temp sensor? If so, is there anyway i could disable it with a kext or a command of some sort? thank you so much!

Sadly SMC really can’t be told to ignore a sensor. Besides it’s best to fix the root issue. Time to inspect things if you have the skills otherwise it’s time to visit someone who has the skills. Someone who fixes Macs often. Apple no longer services this series sadly.

Let’s do this as the issue maybe an easy one! Often time the battery sensors are the issue. Install CoconutBattery with the charger plugged in take a screen snapshot of the main window posting it here for us to see.
