Assuming you've done all the homework to eliminate software as the source of the problem, then you're left with only one real choice; to replace the screen. almost all modern cell phones bond the touch screen, or digitizer, to the display, whether that's LCD or OLED, and it requires specialized equipment and expertise to separate those then recombine them. As such, it's not worth it for most of us to try and replace just the front glass, so replacing the entire screen is the only option.

Fortunately, iFixit has a set of step by step instructions showing you exactly how to do that job, and even sells the genuine Google parts you need to do it correctly.

Pay attention to the instructions on where to pry open the screen; doing it wrong, while it isn't fatal, will give you headaches so read the instructions carefully and follow them meticulously.
