OLED battery into LCD steamdeck?
Will you supply the 50whr OLED battery and will it be a direct replacement for the Steamdeck LCD Battery?

they had mentioned that since the oled was thinner than the lcd, they were able to put in a beefier battery in, so I would imagine the larger battery would not fit in the steam deck lcd variants. even more so that the 256gb lcd variant that they have as their new base model still has the 40wh

I think you mean the larger battery would not fit in the old Steam Deck LCD.

Matt, I don't think the specifications of the new battery have been revealed fully yet, so I'm not sure if you would be able to switch to an OLED battery, but I'm willing to bet that iFixit will sell the battery.

The new battery is physically larger - you won't be able to replace the LCD battery with one.

I know this is an old thread....The question still remains will the OLED battery FIT in a LCD steam Deck.
According to some YouTubers, it does fit, the cover does close and it did power up. Yet, I can't find anyone who actually did this upgrade.
I posted this question on Reddit to try to find if anyone has tried this...
