PlayStation 2 Fat 50004 does not read the game and the disc spins when

Hello! Well, I have a PlayStation 2 (Fat) and the power supply stopped working a year ago. I also have a Ps2 slim so I didn't fix the fat at the time, I just replaced it a few days ago. The PlayStation (fat) after I changed the power supply it turned on, but it doesn't read the games and when I click to eject the CD, the drawer opens with the CD spinning. Regarding not reading the game, I suppose it's the disc reader that no longer works, but I can't find information on why the CD keeps spinning when I open the CD drawer, can anyone help me?

it seems you have more than one issue there...

best way will be to first disassemble the whole tray from the system to clean and service it, that should stop the whole spinning issue, regardless if it reads the game or not...

if you end up with a faulty laser, you can still find replacements, so servicing it is still the first step anyways since you will need to clean all that to replace it

Disc drive failure is common consoles on it keeps spinning because your probably opening it before the disc fully shuts off

The disc stops the moment the button is pressed like any regular CD tray, it can't be taken out while spinning unless there's a whole mechanically faulty driver
