First try unplugging the firestick and waiting for 30 seconds and plugging it back in
If that doesn't fix the issue, then try unplugging for a few hours.
If this still doesn't fix the issue, you can try some amazon remote button sequences as follows:
- Press and hold the SELECT and PLAY buttons simultaneously for about 5-10 seconds and the Fire TV will reboot.
If this still doesn't fix the issue, you can try the following this video to reset the firestick:

My firestck has had the same problem, bought a new one and same again. Black screen logo...but I plugged both into my monitor and they booted up fine.
I'm thinking it's a compatibility issue with some TV sets due to an update

I change to a different tv and the same issue!
Amazon need to replace all sticks that has this issue. Can’t reach a live technician to resolve this. Just frustrating!!!
I think you could be right about the tv compatibility issues since a got a new tv a few months back which it's an LG tv my firestick doesn't load properly but it worked fine when I had my Samsung tv which is just weird

Did you have it connected to a USB port from the TV for power? During an update ,sometimes there's not enough power provided to the device when connected to the tv through USB , therefore it crashes during update . This will probably brick your device , which causes the device to get stuck at the start up logo. Unfortunately , there's currently no fix for it. Try plugging into the original power brick an hope it loads .Many have reported this issue and amazon is only offering a discount towards the purchase of another unit.
