Both of my controllers wont charge

So recently i wanted to play some games but both of my controllers were dead so i thought i would just charge them but the thing is none of them charge, here’s what i tried so far:

• Switching USB cables (other stuff i have charges with a cable that the controllers won't)
• Press the reset button, did nothing
• Cleaned the ports

Basically from what i saw in a video it could be from charging the controllers with a specific fast charger that can damage the battery

Note:

• I have very few left battery in only one controller
• They stopped charging basically with 2-3 days in between (the controllers have been bought in different years)
• I don’t know if this somehow can affect but i had just got a steering wheel for the ps4
