How to fix battery not charging and frozen screen?

Hello! I've had a Kindle Voyage that stopped working a little while back after a period of disuse. I didn't have any issues with battery life before, but I tried to charge my battery and it wouldn't charge (would just have the yellow LED light up), and thus decided that I should replace my battery.

I replaced my battery and charged overnight, but I still have the same issue.

Some additional details:

• Screen is frozen
• I would hold the power button while the Kindle charged. The screen would light up, but the charging LED would turn off. I'd let go of the button and the screen would turn off.
• With the new battery, the LED would be green when unplugged. I'd hold down the power button and the green LED would turn off as well. I'd hold it down again, and it would turn back on.
