Why does the red light flash and click but tv doesn't turn on?

LG - 55" Class G1 Series OLED evo 4K UHD Smart webOS TV with Gallery Design

The TV was working just fine in the morning. Went out and came home to the red light flashing and a little click but nothing. I've already tried unplugging then holding the power button for 30 seconds, taking batteries out of the remote and even leaving it unplugged overnight. Any ideas on what it could be would be greatly appreciated!!!

I have exactly the same problem since 2 weeks. 1 single led blink with a relay switch sound, the. Nothing for 4-5 seconds. And then another blink and it goes on and on as long as it is plugged in.

@tone2423 let us know how many times the power LED flashes since LG uses Blink Code errors for their TV's. Next you want to unplug your TV and remove the back cover. Now take a look at the boards. No, don't touch yet. Just look and check for anything unusual. Post some good pictures of your boards with your Question. That way we can see what you see.

The clicking noise can be a relay on the power board, but it can also be an issue with the main board. Remember, on your TV it is the main board that tells the power board to turn on the different circuits. That is why we need to see which boards you we have so can try to assist you with your repair.

There are several capacitors on the power supply board inside and this light is usually a sign that one or more of these caps are bad.
