Repair and disassembly information for Logitech's K800 wireless keyboard.

Where can I find replacement keys? (Logitech K800)

My right shift key on my K800 is broken. One of the tiny tabs that holds it in place gave out. I contacted Logitech "support" and when i got through the multiple levels of AI and talked to a person, they told me they don't stock spare keys.

Seems like a giant E-waste problem to me. Its a simple fix to replace the broken key, but they'd rather me toss this in the garbage and buy a new one, but it won't be from Logitech, I can assure them of that.

If anyone knows where I can get a replacement key, it would save some E-waste.

No E-waste recycling centers closer than 75KM away where I live.

@ma7erick you can get the keycaps from places like this and many others. This is just an example and not an endorsement of the seller. I'd give it a try

Thanks Old Turkey. I did do a cursory search and didn't come up with much.

I've never really ordered from Ali before and not sure I would trust it. No idea who or where it comes from, materials used, etc.

I hoped for an official replacement but it seems Logitech aren't interested in right to repair.

I came across an article that stated that Logitech started to offer ifixit some replacement parts to finally start thinking and combatting ewaste, but it seems like the offering is rather limited to start with.

Thanks again for the reply.

I'll be doing some research into a company to order a replacement from that offers better support going forward. (making replacement parts and preferably human beings manning support channels)

@ma7erick I really haven't had any bad luck with Ali but I totally understand. The other thing you can check is ebay. There are quite a few that offer replacement keys (used) from the original keyboard. that maybe something you could consider. I doubt Logitech is going to be much help. We all know that all they and others are looking for, is profit. It's not about the brand or about helping others. It's all about who can make more money off us, hence:
