Why is my laptop's screen flickering?

It could be a loose video cable connection (either end motherboard or LCD panel), a faulty LCD panel or even a problem on the motherboard.

To prove that the motherboard is not the problem, connect an external monitor (TV?) to the laptop's HDMI port and check what the display from the laptop is like when viewed on it. Don't forget to toggle the special key (4th key? from left on top row) to switch the display from laptop screen only, to external screen only, to both on together.

Go to p.77 to view the procedure to remove/replace the display assembly.

This will allow you to check if the video cable connections are OK or not.

If it is determined that the LCD panel is the problem, it will have to be replaced as it cannot be repaired.
