My Xbox 360 keeps overheating!

I have this Xbox 360 with the NXE dashboard,but earlier today I opened it to make a small repair. But now after closing it the fans run very loud and now 6 - 7 minutes after powering on it gets a red ring of death with two lights which means it's overheating and I don't know why.

Don't make us guess, WHAT exactly did you do? What possible actions have been done that can break the cooling system?

@tomchai Replacing the disc drive

@pawelc Should not be relevant so you probably broke something else, like accidentally knocking off a resistor somewhere to make thermal sensor signals to short out, or just knocked the heat sink loose.
