Maybe your charge port need to be replaced! Did the laptop turned on with the new battery? Is there a charge light when you try to charge your laptop?

Laptop turned on only when plugged in.
Charge light didn’t come on.
Ah, if it does turn on when you plug the cable in, then the charge port should be fine! Maybe the new battery is faulty! Best thing to do is to return the battery and get yourself a new one! If this battery fails too, we need to look further.
