Why is my phone is not vibrating?

@john74882 you did not tell us what you have checked. Check your System Settings. Check on Sound and Vibration. Check to to see if Vibrate when silent is turned on.

If all your settings are okay, try to start your phone in safe mode.

• Press the Power button for about two seconds.
• Now the small menu should pop up.
• You have to hold your finger on Power Off option until another menu shows up.
• Confirm booting to Safe Mode by choosing OK.

Once in safe mode, try and see if your vibrator works now. If so, it is a third party App that prevents your vibrator to work. You would have to uninstall all the Apps one after the next to figure out which one it is.

If none of the software settings etc. work, then the issue could be a bad vibrator motor. since iFixit does not yet have guide for this, use the one from here It was written in Spanish so use a Browser that does the translation for you (if needed).

While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit.
