Flashlight won't work, its the same in safe mode and using the flash option on the diagnostic tool crashes the tool. I will send the phone to google for a warranty repair but any alternative to that would be great.

This has been a know problem on Google pixel devices sinice the pixel 3 I'd try a factory reset is a operating system problem typically not a hardware problem but a weak battery can often worsen this bug.

How bad would the battery have to be? (I have been tracking mine with accubattery since I recieved it)
reset my phone, sadly did not help.
story time, my outward facing camera would not work 80% of the time then randomly work. Factory reset did not do anything. I had to go into some weird setting and allow it and now the camera works. last night however I wanted to use my flashlight to look at something but my phone UI said my camera was in use (even when I closed all my apps). This morning my camera is no longer on but the Flashlight setting is on despite no actual flash. WTF
