Makes ice, when bin full shuts off, doesn't restart until arm pushed

From the day I bought this new, (no it isn't under warranty anymore) My Icemaker fills with water, freezes cubes, ejects them in the bin, when bin is full, arm stays in horizontal position, all good so far... As we use ice, the arm will never go down on its own. If I forget to reach in and manually drop the bin arm, we run out. If I reach in about once a week and drop the arm, we stay in a supply of ice. Any ideas? Every Google search just gives solutions if the arm is "stuck" in the up position, which mine isn't

UPDATE: I watched the process of ice ejecting and the arm DID raise to a 3/4 up position as the ice fell, then dropped back down, but when arm senses full bin, it won't restart.

Hi @abdulmuhamed

Can't find a free download for the tech sheet (W12212322), but try this video and check if the ice maker diagnostics show anything. View from 6:21 minutes into the video.

If you find the problem and it is a part that needs replacing, here's a parts list that is useful, as it has the manufacturer's part number shown with each part. Search online for the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.

Thanks for the video and parts list. Diagnostics found no problem but that was unsurprising as the ice tray fills with water, heats, ejects ice into the bin, and will continue doing so until the bin is full. When I heard ice dropping into bin, I quickly opened the door and observed the bin arm raise to 45-degree position, then drop back down (as it is supposed to do). This ruled out a motor problem. But as always, when the last tray of ice falls into the bin and the bin is full, the arm stays in the horizontal (off) position. My understanding is that it should occasionally try to drop again to see if the bin is getting low. It has me baffled.

Wonder if it's a weak ice dispenser actuator spring in the ice maker. See part #26 in the Motor and Ice Container parts diagram in the parts list I linked above.

Good theory, when the bin is empty of ice this time around I'm going to see if I can remove the bin and get at the spring....
