Only plays old DVDs?
Ok so I have an old Sony surround sound system. I was going to dump it as it didn’t seem to work. I recently put an old disc in and it worked perfectly. Tried another and that worked. Tried another and got the error message can not play disc. It seems to work fine on old DVDs but not on current DVDs. Any ideas?

Please confirm the model number of the unit?
The device you selected requires a dvd player to be connected to either the HDMI BD In port (if a BluRay player) or the HDMI DVD In port (if a dvd player) see p,10 of the HT-CT150 user manual
It doesn't have an inbuilt dvd player.

@daveedge what is your definition of old versus new DVD?
